Individual airlines may have specific requirements for travel, please check your airlines' website prior to your planned date of travel for more detailed information.
Before you get to the airport please make sure that you and your luggage adhere to aviation security regulations - including those relating to what you can carry in your checked-in luggage as well as onto the plane in your hand luggage. Check with your airline and the Aviation Security Service website.
The check in counters and kiosks are located on the ground floor.
For Air New Zealand travellers, your closest entry point is door 3.
For Jetstar travellers, your closest entry point is door 5 or door 7.
For Air Chathams and Barrier Air, please use door 2 to enter the terminal building.
Where possible, please check in online prior to arriving at the terminal to avoid the need to queue. Check your airline’s website for more information.

After checking-in on the ground floor, you are welcome to remain within the terminal building. If you are within 60 minutes of your flight departing please move through Security to the gate lounge. Our wayfinding and customer service team will help guide you to the right place.
Help our security team keep you safe by only carrying what you are permitted to do so. Please check the Aviation Security Service website.
As of the 16th November 2022, unsealed liquids are no longer permitted through the Aviation Security Screening area in the domestic terminal. Unsealed liquids include; coffees, smoothies, or any liquid container that may leak. Please ensure you consume your beverage before reaching the screening area.
Our stores and eateries will also be open throughout the terminal to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat.
There are flight information displays throughout the terminal, please check these to ensure you know your gate number.

Lost property can be collected from our Operations Reception, Ground Floor, International Terminal (outside of Door 1). You will need to identify your lost item and bring photo ID with you.
